Short Bio:

Seyed Ahmadreza (Ahmad) Abtahi is an external PhD student in the Communication Systems Group at the University of Zurich. He holds a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering and a master's degree in Financial Management. He began his doctoral studies in 2023 under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Burkhard Stiller and the co-supervision of Prof. Dr. Thorsten Hens. His research interests include artificial intelligence, machine learning, blockchain, and their applications in financial and digital systems.

  • Artificial intelligence and reinforcement learning for algorithmic trading
  • Cryptocurrency derivatives
  • Market inefficiencies and arbitrage
  • Blockchain and decentralized applications
