Short Bio:

Nasim Nezhadsistani received her B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Electrical Engineering in 2014 and 2017, respectively. She is currently a doctoral researcher with the Communication Systems Group (CSG) at the Department of Informatics, University of Zurich, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Burkhard Stiller. She has been with CSG as a Research Assistant since 2022.

Her research focuses on Explainable and Trustworthy Artificial Intelligence (XAI), machine learning for cybersecurity, and intelligent next-generation communication networks, particularly 5G, Beyond-5G, and 6G systems. Her current work investigates efficient and reliable explanation methods for machine-learning models, explainable intrusion and anomaly detection, and the evaluation of explanation quality in security-critical applications.

Her broader research interests include decentralized and federated learning, sustainable AI, network security, and blockchain-enabled systems. She is particularly interested in developing transparent, robust, and resource-efficient AI solutions for secure intelligent networked systems.
