This page will be updated until the start of term and regularly during the semester. Important information: 

  • The BCOLN lecture includes two parts of exercises, a theoretical part and a practical part (Challenge Task).
  • It is mandatory to hand in all exercises & the CT.
  • Exercises are helpful for CT preparation and for final exam preparation.
  • Exercises will not be corrected, just acknowledged.
  • Exercise classes will be used to discuss the exercise solutions.
  • We encourage students to solve the exercises on their own.
  • Please re-read. There was a mistake in the mandatory exercise sessions: Please make sure that you are present for the second exercise session on the 03.03.2022, since the session serves for you to form the CT groups. Also, you need to be present for the final CT presentations, which will be held on the 19.05.2022 and the 02.06.2022. 

 

Theoretical Exercises

The three theoretical exercises will be downloadable from this page from their respective hand-out date, as shown below.

Students must send their solutions to

killer @ ifi.uzh.ch, and 

vonderassen @ ifi.uzh.ch

up until the deadline. The solutions will be discussed on the

respective assigned date.

Handing in all exercises is mandatory and will be very useful for preparing the final exam. We encourage students to solve the exercises on their own and actively participate in the exercise discussions.

Practical Exercise: Challenge Task

The Challenge Task (CT) will be released during the second exercise session on the third of March 2022. The CT is performed in groups and is also mandatory.
