Design and Implementation of a Grid-Service Gateway for an A4C Client

During this thesis a Grid-Service based Gateway for an existing A4C (Authentication, Authorization, Accounting, Auditing, Charging) Client should be designed and implemented. The gateway shall be used for performing accounting in grid environments.

An existing implementation of an A4C Client is available as Java and C++ libraries. The student shall use a grid toolkit (preferably GT4) and embed the existing library in a grid-service.

After an existing prototype is working, performance analysis should be performed in order to check what is the impact of using the A4C Client as a grid-service compared to a traditional use as a shared library.

40% Design, 40% Implementation, 20% Evaluation and performance analysis
Java programming, programming with web-services (grid toolkits would be a plus)
