Bitcoin is an open source P2P digital currency that is gaining more and more popularity over the world. However everyday transactions, such as to pay for a coffee, or any smaller amounts, is not yet popular when it comes to bitcoins. The reason for this is the lack of a mobile bitcoin payment method that can replace physical money. The goal of this project is to implement an open source solution where bit coin payments will be possible through a mobile device. The mobile bit coin payment solution will need a bitcoin trading center where the seller and the buyer will be able to exchange bitcoins. For the communication between the buyer and the seller Near Field Communication (NFC) equipped devices will be used. After the completion of this project the students will gain significant experience in the orchestration of the latest technologies in the scope of a novel project.
