Exercise sheets are released Wednesdays until 7pm. An exercise sheet mostly adresses the content of that days lecture. After the release at least one week is available to complete the exercise and submit the solution. Submission is done via e-mail (see below). The exercise is discussed in the exercise session of the day of the submission deadline. Therefore, solutions have to be submitted before the begin of the exercise session. There will be nine exercises in total.

Exercises of this lecture are obligatory for all students, who want to achieve a successful participation in the written or oral exam. In order to judge individual understandings of exercise contents, tutors may ask students at any time and unexpected to present their solution. To be possibly successful in the written or oral examination, every student must:

  • submit in due time solutions for at least seven of the ten exercises
  • present solutions in not less than two exercise sessions.

After solving an exercise students send an email with attributes specified by the table below and the respective solution (in PDF-format) to

. Depending on their solution students will be asked in exercise sessions to present parts of it. At justified

absence (illness or conscription/WK) students shall contact the tutor and hand in an official affirmation (attestation, march order).
