2012 Summer Olympic Games

For the duration of the 2012 Summer Olympic Games, the Swiss TV sports channel SF2 is broadcast over the IFI wired network. This service is offered by CSG and is available to all IFI members.

Setup and Configuration

The signal is delivered as an RTP multicast stream in the following IFI subnets:

130.60.155.0/24

130.60.156.0/24

Within these subnets the stream can be received using a multicast-enabled, MPEG-capable streaming client such as VLC, which is available for Windows, Linux, Mac OS X, and many other platforms.

To display the stream in VLC, please follow the following steps:

  1. Download and install VLC from http://www.videolan.org/vlc/
  2. Go under Media > Open Network Stream...
  3. Type: rtp://239.0.0.1:5020
  4. Click "Play"

In addition, the local firewall has to be configured to allow incoming traffic on UDP port 5020.
